OAK & Hearth

Oak & Hearth all began in late 2024, when our founder George Hersant-Lisher realised that most of the video projects he was working on were in collaboration with multiple other freelancers. He decided to put together a group of freelancers & essentially create a video production company, with the aim of unifying a group of industry professionals under one banner. A majority of the Oak & Hearth team are located across Hertfordshire & London, with most of our clients coming to us from across the UK.

The name Oak & Hearth is inspired by the landscape & people of Hertfordshire itself. There is a vast amount of Oak trees in the area & a lot of the locals love being able to go outside to see these beautiful, strong trees. The hearth in our name, harkens back to being at home, gathered around the fireplace. Despite most of the team not owning a home with a fireplace, we all love the feeling we get when we go on holidays to cottages with a fireplace. For us, nothing quite beats that!

When it came to deciding what Oak & Hearth would specialise in, the team came together to discuss which aspects of video production we were most suited to. Between us, we decided that we would offer: Home & Lifestyle Videos, Branded Storytelling & Documentary Videos. These were the type of projects we collectively have the most experience in, you can find out more about them here.

We’re aiming to write regular posts to document the process of creating a video production company, as well as share tips and tricks that we have picked up across our careers!
